Ron and Susanne currently minister in churches, leadership seminars, marriage encounters, and women’s conferences around the country. The couple founded Legacy of Purpose ministry of Kingwood Church which empowers the Coxes to invest themselves heavily in missions work and evangelism in India and abroad, focusing on the development of safe houses and youth discipleship ministries.

The blending of their unique testimonies brings a message of God’s faithfulness and grace.Their heart for missions inspires their local church family to join with them in reaching their community and the world with the hope and joy that is available only in Jesus Christ.   Pastor Ron and Susanne continue to reside in Alabaster, Alabama, as their children carry the legacy of Kingwood Church. About Susanne

Susanne is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. She has served as General Presbyter for the Southeast Region as well as on the National Women in Leadership Committee for the AG. Susanne experienced a miraculous salvation at age 31 which rapidly changed her life and positioned her to bring hope and encouragement to others. She challenges and inspires audiences to be transformed by God’s Word and to fulfill their divine destiny. Her unique blend of humor and honesty is refreshing and appealing to all generations.

Susanne served as a missionary to Southern Asia before marrying Pastor Ron Cox of Kingwood Church, Alabaster, Alabama. Their ministry, Legacy of Purpose, has partnered with Project Rescue for decades. Susanne now serves on the Speaker Bureau for Project Rescue and partners with their mission to rescue and restore victims of sexual exploitation through the love and power of God.

Pastor Ron and Susanne continue to reside in Alabaster as their children carry on the legacy of Kingwood Church. A book has been written on the story of their lives, “Call It Incredible: The Ron and Susanne Cox Story,” and is available here on the Legacy of Purpose website.

About Ron

  An alumnus of Southeastern University, Pastor Cox spent nearly 45 years as a senior pastor, most recently serving Kingwood Church in suburban Birmingham, Alabama, for 35 years. Despite personal adversities, he led Kingwood through a long season of sustained growth. Since his transition out of the role of Senior Pastor in 2009, the church has continued to be an epicenter of effective local ministry and world missions impact.

 Possessing the heart of a pastor combined with the vision of a missionary, Ron Cox brings a passionate message of the power of the local church to accomplish the Great Commission. Kingwood Church continues to be one of the leading missions-sending and missions-giving churches in America.
